Qualifications and Experience:

• Fluent proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is a must
• Experience as a Paraprofessional or providing one-on-one support to students preferred
• Ability to assist with classroom activities and modify materials to support student understanding
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to work during school hours, 32 hours per week

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized ASL support for an elementary male student throughout the school day
• Aid with lesson comprehension, assistive communications, and classroom participation
• Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to implement student’s education plan
• Encourage social interaction and help facilitate peer relationships
• Support daily routines and help promote independence
