Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a related support role in schools
• Ability to work effectively alongside teachers, therapists, and other team members
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and adults
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability when working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in education is a plus
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding school policies

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction and assist lead teachers in implementing lessons and activities
• Provide individualized or small group assistance to students as directed
• Assist with behavior management, helping students stay engaged and focused
• Prepare and organize materials for classroom use
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Supervise students in classroom, hallways, and during transitional periods
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate observations to teaching staff
