This position involves providing dedicated support at a Setting 4 site, where students receive Special Education services throughout their entire day. You will have the opportunity to work with learners spanning elementary to high school, helping them achieve both academic and developmental milestones.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Demonstrated experience or readiness to support students with challenging behaviors and severe disabilities.
- Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and personal care as needed.
- Comfortable engaging with students of all ages (elementary through high school); please indicate your preferred age group upon applying.
- Candidates must be Highly Qualified according to Minnesota standards: • Option 1: Pass the MN Paraprofessional Educator Exam (official passing score required) • Option 2: Completion of at least 60 college credits (official transcript required; diplomas do not suffice)
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support instructional activities, behavior interventions, and daily living needs for students in a highly individualized environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other specialists to implement student-specific plans.
- Assist with classroom management and foster an inclusive, respectful atmosphere for all learners.
- Provide hands-on help to ensure students’ safety and well-being throughout the school day, including toileting support.

- Consistent weekday schedule: Monday through Friday, 32.5 hours per week.
- Contract runs from early September through early June, aligning with the academic calendar.
- After 422 contract hours, opportunity to transition to a direct hire position.
- Pay begins at $20/hour.
