Start your assignment in September 2026 and continue serving students through June 2027, working a steady Monday-Friday schedule (32.5 hours per week). The assignment is based at a vibrant elementary campus, providing crucial support to students with diverse learning needs. All support staff should be open and willing to assist with toileting and personal care as part of their responsibilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be highly qualified by ONE of the following (documentation required):
• Passing score on the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
• At least 60 college credits, with official college transcripts (degree alone is not sufficient) - Prior experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in special education, preferred
- Willingness to assist in personal care needs
- Reliable, compassionate, and flexible
- Resume AND one highly qualified document (exam score or transcripts) must be submitted to proceed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom and individual support to students with special needs
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to implement learning and behavioral plans
- Support students’ personal care, including toileting if needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
- Participate in ongoing training and team meetings
You’ll start as a contract staff member with the potential for direct hire by the district after 422 hours. Compensation for this position is $20 per hour.
