Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a highly qualified paraprofessional. Multiple openings are available at several elementary schools in the Osseo, MN area, with an assignment running approximately from August 31, 2026, through November 29, 2026 (32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday). This 90-day assignment may lead to a direct hire conversion.
Candidates must indicate their preferred school location when applying. Please ensure you review and map the location of the school site you wish to be considered for. You will collaborate alongside a dedicated team at your selected school, supporting classroom instruction, assisting children with daily tasks, and providing special education support where needed. Please note: all support staff are expected to assist with toileting needs as required.
Key Qualifications:
- Must meet ONE of the following:
- Pass the MN Para Educator (Paraprofessional) Exam
- Completed at least 60 college credits—official transcripts required (photos of diplomas or degrees are not accepted)
- Demonstrated experience or interest working with elementary-aged children in a classroom or similar setting
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Dependable and willing to assist with a variety of support needs
Responsibilities:
- Support lead teachers in classroom management and instructional activities
- Assist students during lessons, activities, and unstructured times
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Provide support for special education needs and toileting assistance as necessary
- Maintain open communication with instructional teams and families
Compensation for this role is set at $20 per hour, with direct hire opportunities following a successful contract period.
