Step into a rewarding contract position supporting middle school students as a highly qualified paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 academic year. Multiple openings are available across various middle schools in one of the area’s largest and most collaborative educational districts. You’ll play an essential role in enhancing students’ learning experiences, providing both academic and personal support while working closely with dedicated educational teams.

Key Qualifications:

• Meet the highly qualified paraprofessional standard by:
  • Passing the MN Para Educator Exam (proof of passing required), OR
  • Completing at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required)
• Comfortable with all aspects of student support, including restroom/toileting assistance
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with instructional teams
• Commitment to supporting diverse student needs in a school environment
• Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to various situations and caseloads

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in classroom instruction, small group activities, and individualized support
• Supervise students in classroom and hallway settings, maintaining a safe environment
• Offer personal care as needed, including assistance with toileting
• Support student engagement and positive behavior in alignment with school policies
• Communicate progress and concerns to teachers and staff
• Contribute to a culture of respect, inclusion, and growth for every learner

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday role (32.5 hours/week), beginning approximately August 31, 2026, and running through November 29, 2026. Upon fulfilling 422 contract hours, the potential to transition into a direct hire with the district opens up. Pay begins at $20 per hour, based on verification of your highly qualified status.
