Make a direct impact in the classroom by supporting students and teachers as a paraprofessional in a dynamic elementary school environment. Multiple openings are available for highly-qualified professionals to work collaboratively on a team dedicated to student success. This contract-based opportunity offers the potential to become a direct hire after a successful 90-day period.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must meet one of the following requirements to be “highly-qualified”:
    • Pass the MN Para Educator Exam (proof of passing score)
    • OR possess at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; diplomas or photos of degrees not accepted)
  • Candidates must submit both a current resume and a qualifying document (exam score or transcripts) to be considered
  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional, especially in school settings, is preferred
  • Ability and willingness to assist with student toileting and personal care needs
  • Flexible, collaborative, and able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional and behavioral support to individuals or small groups, primarily in a resource setting or center-based classroom
  • Support different grade levels throughout the day, as assigned
  • Work closely with licensed staff to implement lesson plans and facilitate classroom activities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive climate, promoting social and emotional growth
  • Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times
