Key Qualifications:
- Must meet one of the following requirements to be “highly-qualified”:
- Pass the MN Para Educator Exam (proof of passing score)
- OR possess at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; diplomas or photos of degrees not accepted)
- Candidates must submit both a current resume and a qualifying document (exam score or transcripts) to be considered
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, especially in school settings, is preferred
- Ability and willingness to assist with student toileting and personal care needs
- Flexible, collaborative, and able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to individuals or small groups, primarily in a resource setting or center-based classroom
- Support different grade levels throughout the day, as assigned
- Work closely with licensed staff to implement lesson plans and facilitate classroom activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive climate, promoting social and emotional growth
- Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times
