Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be considered Highly Qualified to work as a Paraprofessional in Minnesota through one of the following:
  • Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam)
  • Completion of at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required)
• Highly Qualified verification must be submitted with your application. Diplomas or degrees cannot replace transcripts.
• Experience working with K-12 students, especially within specialized or high-support programs, is highly valued.
• Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff to provide consistent support to students.
• Excellent communication skills, patience, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers in delivering individualized instruction and behavior management.
• Assist students with a range of academic, social, and emotional needs in a Setting 4 environment.
• Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Adapt support techniques to meet diverse student needs throughout the school day.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in relevant staff meetings.
