Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience or strong interest in working with children in an academic setting
• Demonstrated ability to provide support to students with varied learning needs
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and other support professionals
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in education or special education is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional support, classroom management, and activities
• Provide direct support to students individually or in small groups, reinforcing lessons and classroom routines
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under teacher direction
• Support students with behavioral, emotional, or physical needs to encourage participation and engagement
• Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, lunchrooms, and playgrounds
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities as directed
• Foster a nurturing and respectful atmosphere contributing to each child's social and academic growth
