Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a classroom support role strongly preferred
- Ability to assist teachers in instructional and non-instructional tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or relevant coursework a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Capable of following directions and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Willingness to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to teachers and students, assisting with lessons and activities
- Help implement behavior management strategies and educational accommodations
- Support students with special needs, ensuring their safety and participation
- Supervise students during classroom, recess, lunch, and/or transportation transitions
- Prepare materials and maintain classroom organization as directed
- Encourage, motivate, and guide students to reach their full potential
- Facilitate communication between students and teachers as needed
