Instructional Assistant - Pascoag, Rhode Island

Bring your passion for supporting students to this full-time contract opportunity as a Paraprofessional serving a Grade 11 student. You'll be working onsite during school hours from 7:30 AM to 1:52 PM, closely collaborating with a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to ensure students receive the assistance and encouragement they need.

Your commitment will help create a positive and inclusive educational experience, empowering the student’s learning and development each day.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
• Ability to follow guidance from specialized educators, such as a TVI
• Patience and adaptability when working with high school students
• Good communication skills for collaboration and student support
• Dedication to creating a positive and engaging learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to a Grade 11 student as guided by the supervising TVI
• Assist with classroom tasks and help implement individualized instructional plans
• Foster independence and confidence in the student’s daily activities
• Adapt materials and classroom activities to meet student needs
• Support both academic and social development during class time
