Classroom Assistant | Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Take part in supporting students and educators in an engaging, dynamic school environment. Several contract opportunities are available for paraprofessionals across all grade levels, starting August 31, 2026, and running through June 10, 2027. These roles offer valuable experience in a collaborative educational setting and the chance to make a genuine impact in the lives of children and young people.

Openings & Hours:

• High School: 5 paraprofessionals needed, schedule: 8:00 AM – 2:15 PM, Monday through Friday
• Middle School: 3 paraprofessionals needed, schedule: 7:05 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Elementary: 12 paraprofessionals needed, schedules: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  Each role offers approximately 32 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• RI Teacher Assistant (TA) Certification required, OR
• Current CNA with proven experience working in school settings
• Demonstrated ability to assist with academic tasks, classroom management, and individual student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dependable, adaptable, and proactive
• Experience in supporting diverse learners is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with educational and daily living tasks under teacher guidance
• Support academic and behavioral goals within classrooms
• Provide one-on-one or small-group instruction as directed
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
• Help manage classroom activities, organization, and transitions
