Instructional Assistant - Pawtucket, RI

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide, particularly in school settings
• Familiarity with supporting students in elementary grade levels
• Patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and specialists
• Adaptable in responding to evolving classroom needs and individualized student plans
• Experience providing 1:1 academic or behavioral support is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, individualized assistance to an assigned elementary student throughout the school day
• Support instructional lessons, activities, and individualized education plan (IEP) goals under the guidance of a certified teacher
• Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior and social skills development
• Monitor and document student progress; communicate observations to teachers and interdisciplinary teams
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing learning space to help your student thrive both academically and socially
• Help the student navigate daily transitions, routines, and any required accommodations
