Special Education Para Professional in Pawtucket, RI

You’ll play a vital role assisting teachers and helping students succeed in classroom settings, making a difference every day. This assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 10th, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 32 hours per week.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Rhode Island Teacher Assistant (TA) Certification required
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school or classroom preferred
• Strong communication, cooperation, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate as part of a team supporting diverse learners
• Flexibility to work in various elementary, middle, or secondary school settings
• Candidates must provide a non-blinded resume and contact information

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with instructional activities, classroom management, and student engagement
• Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all students
• Adapt to various grade levels and student needs as assigned
• Supervise students during transitions, meals, and activities
• Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and support staff
