Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience working as a paraprofessional or instructional assistant in a school environment
- In-depth understanding of behavioral support strategies and classroom management techniques
- Prior experience supporting students with varied learning and behavioral needs
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and collaborate with multiple educators
- Strong communication skills for working with students, teachers, and school staff
- Flexibility to assist across a range of grade levels (K-12) and caseloads throughout the district
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct classroom support to students and educators as assigned
- Implement behavior intervention plans and reinforce positive student conduct
- Assist with instructional activities and adapt materials under the teacher’s guidance
- Help foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for all learners
- Monitor student progress, offering encouragement and timely feedback
- Assist with supervision of students throughout the school day, both in and outside the classroom
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other paraprofessionals to ensure cohesive support strategies
