Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a related school support role preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or completion of at least two years of postsecondary education is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, educators, and staff
• Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners
• Ability to assist with academic tasks and provide behavioral support as needed
• Knowledge of basic classroom technology (tablets, computers, educational software)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering instruction and managing the classroom
• Aid students individually or in small groups with academic assignments, social skills, and daily activities
• Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or behavior plans as directed by school personnel
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-classroom times
• Help maintain a safe, positive environment for all students
• Communicate clearly and effectively with staff, students, and families as appropriate
