Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students in a vibrant educational environment near Philadelphia, PA. Two full-time paraprofessional openings are available, starting as soon as possible and extending through the end of the school year (June 13, 2025). You’ll work closely with a dedicated team under the guidance of Special Education Teachers and school principals, making a tangible difference every day.
Your day will run Monday through Friday from 8:45am to 3:30pm. This role involves daily interaction with students, including bus riding responsibilities. Candidates with backgrounds as Paraprofessionals (Paras), Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Behavior Technicians (BTs), or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are encouraged to apply, with at least one male BT or RBT needed for these assignments. Positions are available in areas such as Berwyn, Paoli, Frazer, Malvern, West Chester, and Plymouth Meeting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with students in a classroom, special education, or behavioral support capacity
- RBT certification required for RBT opportunities
- BTs must have completed 40 hours of RBT training
- No licensure required for Paras/PCAs, but a passion for student support is essential
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to participate in all aspects of a school day, including bus supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of Special Ed staff and principals
