This full-time opportunity is perfect for individuals committed to helping students succeed as part of an Autistic Support team. You’ll work onsite in a vibrant learning community from 8:50 am to 3:50 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, providing direct support alongside dedicated educators.

Key qualifications and preferences:

  • Experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar support role within a school setting
  • Strong commitment to punctuality and reliability
  • Student-centered mindset and a flexible approach to daily responsibilities
  • Ability and willingness to follow teacher’s directions, including providing personal care and safety monitoring as needed
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred; if not currently certified, willingness to obtain certification within the first 10 school days is essential
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training preferred; required upon hire if not already certified—training will be arranged
  • Clearances and references required for consideration (all documentation must be complete for candidates to move forward)

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students with autism, helping facilitate their educational and social development
  • Assist with daily academic activities and classroom organization as directed by the teacher
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for all students
  • Deliver personal care or safety assistance when needed, under teacher supervision
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
