Instructional Assistant - Pinson, Alabama

This onsite, contract position spans from now through December, at a vibrant elementary campus near Pinson, AL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent 1:1 support to a kindergarten student with spina bifida
• Provide safe assistance with transfers in and out of a chair as required
• Aid with fine motor tasks and help manage classroom materials and supplies
• Facilitate the student’s participation in instructional and classroom activities
• Escort and supervise the student to and from a self-contained classroom as needed
• Collaborate and communicate with staff, students, and families in both English and Spanish

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proficient in both English and Spanish; able to communicate clearly in both languages
• Demonstrates patience, dependability, and a student-centered approach
• Comfortable providing mobility support and physical assistance
• Previous experience with young children or students with special needs is highly preferred
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving student requirements; willing to learn and grow in the role
