What we’re looking for:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school or educational setting
• Familiarity with virtual or online instructional platforms
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow therapy plans under supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student growth
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with occupational therapists and general education staff

Key responsibilities:

• Support students during virtual occupational therapy sessions by assisting with assignments, activities, and engagement
• Help implement and reinforce therapy strategies and individualized plans developed by licensed OT professionals
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to supervising therapists
• Encourage active participation, positive attitudes, and independence in students during virtual sessions
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all guidelines regarding student privacy and wellbeing
• Adapt to changing schedules and support needs efficiently in a remote learning environment
