This assignment is based out of a respected elementary school, with hours from 8am to 3pm, giving you consistent daytime scheduling.
Desired Background:
- Fully onboarded and available for immediate placement (within 3 business days of contract signing)
- Extensive experience working as a paraprofessional, especially in SPED classrooms
- Familiarity with supporting students who require individualized assistance
- Skilled in adapting to varied instructional and behavioral needs
- Reliable, communicative, and committed to student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver dedicated 1:1 support for a student in the SPED program
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assistance according to student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and daily activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes engagement and learning
Candidates should reside in or be able to commute efficiently to the areas surrounding Sacramento and Rio Vista. The contract aims to begin on Tuesday, 8/25, so readiness to start promptly is essential.
