Teacher's Aide - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Contribute your skills as a Paraprofessional in a supportive school environment serving students in the Pittsburgh, PA area—including Fox Chapel, Oakmont, Monroeville, Swissvale, and nearby communities. Two immediate openings are available: one for K-1 Autistic Support and another for 3-5 Autistic Support. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in helping students navigate their school day and achieve their full potential.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional or strong interest in working in school-based support roles
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to connect with students with varying abilities
• Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care tasks as needed
• Comfortable providing support during classroom transitions, lunch, and as a substitute for other paraprofessionals when necessary
• Reliable and adaptable, with strong communication and teamwork skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support students in both K-1 and 3-5 autistic support classrooms
• Assist teachers with instructional activities and provide individualized or small-group support
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment
• Aid students during transitions between activities and classrooms
• Supervise students during lunch and other non-instructional periods
• Step in as coverage for absentee or unavailable paraprofessionals
