Paraprofessional in Pittsburgh, PA

Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives by supporting their educational journey as a dedicated Paraprofessional. Two full-time contract opportunities are available for the remainder of the 25/26 school year, with openings in both high school and elementary settings. Start as soon as possible and work through June 5, 2026—with the possibility to extend into ESY (Extended School Year) or NSY, depending on district needs.

These roles involve close collaboration with educational teams and providing hands-on support in general and life skills classrooms. You’ll play a critical part in assisting students in reaching their full potential, offering both academic and behavioral support. Choose between a high school schedule (7:15 am–2:45 pm) or an elementary schedule (8:00 am–3:30 pm), based on your preferences.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional, Paraeducator, or similar role within school settings
• Ability to work with students with diverse needs, including those in life skills programs
• Flexible, positive attitude and a genuine commitment to supporting youth
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Comfortable adapting to new environments and educational approaches
• High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary coursework or certification preferred)

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering instruction, modifying assignments, and monitoring student progress
• Provide individual and small group support for students
• Contribute to safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environments
• Support students with life skills, daily living activities, and behavioral goals
• Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families as needed
