Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Prior work as a paraprofessional or behavior specialist in school settings
• Demonstrated experience supporting autistic students and addressing behavioral challenges
• Strong communication abilities and a patient, empathetic approach
• Ability to follow individualized education and behavior intervention plans
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in implementing classroom activities and routines
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to autistic students
• Help with behavioral interventions, de-escalation, and fostering positive skill-building
• Monitor and record student progress, maintaining clear communication with the educational team
• Encourage inclusion, helping students participate in all aspects of school life
