Take the next step as a vital member of the education community, supporting students’ learning and wellbeing in a contract Paraprofessional/Personal Care Aid role. This position offers the opportunity to make a daily difference in the lives of students across a variety of school settings, including elementary, intermediate, and high school environments. Assignments may be at one of several locations, depending on district needs, with the term beginning ASAP and running through June 2027.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Personal Care Aid (PCA) highly valued
• Bonus consideration for candidates with complete Pennsylvania credentialing
• Ability to adapt to different school environments and support diverse student needs (autism support, emotional support, etc.)
• Strong communication skills, patience, and dedication to student success
• Compliance with all legal and health requirements, including Act 151 (Child Abuse Clearance), Act 114 (FBI Fingerprinting), Act 126 (Abuse Recognition/Reporting), and Act 168 (previous employment background)
• Completion of 2 Step TB Test or Quantiferon TB Blood Test, physical, PATCH/Act 134, and pre-assignment drug screening
• Compassionate, reliable, and eager to foster a supportive learning atmosphere

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and assistance to students as determined by their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support teachers and school staff in classroom and non-classroom settings
• Facilitate inclusion and participation, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the school day
• Encourage students’ independence in daily activities and assist with personal care needs
• Maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with team, and uphold school policies
