Instructional Aide - Placitas, NM

In this full-time contract position, you’ll work closely with a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), acting as a key facilitator and aide to help ensure effective communication and learning opportunities for students.

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a paraprofessional or educational aide in a school setting
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport and support students of diverse backgrounds
• Comfort with technology, including virtual meeting platforms and basic computer functions
• Collaborative mindset for working with students, teachers, therapists, and families
• Ability to follow directions and implement strategies provided by licensed SLPs
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple responsibilities within the school day

Role Responsibilities:

• Assisting the virtual SLP by facilitating student participation during online speech therapy sessions
• Helping prepare materials, set up equipment, and create an optimal learning environment
• Providing on-site support and supervision for students during virtual SLP sessions
• Implementing strategies suggested by the SLP to encourage student progress and engagement
• Maintaining records, noting student involvement and progress as required
• Collaborating with teachers and school staff to maximize support for each student
