What You’ll Bring:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required
• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school or educational setting is preferred
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere
• Comfortable working in a 1:1 capacity with middle school students
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, one-on-one ASL interpretation and support for a 7th-grade student in the classroom and throughout the school day
• Assist in adapting instructional materials, facilitating communication between student and staff, and promoting active engagement
• Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and support staff to develop and implement accommodations that meet the student’s needs
• Foster a supportive and respectful environment that encourages student independence and success
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures at all times
