Key Qualifications and Certifications:
- Current Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Paraprofessional Certification (required — both must be current for consideration)
- Previous experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged students
- Ability to assist with a full range of classroom and personal care activities, including comfort with toileting support
- Positive, proactive communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement lesson plans and accommodations
- Offer assistance with classroom management, transitions, and fostering a safe, inclusive environment
- Support students requiring help with personal care needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to student progress reporting as directed
What You’ll Experience:
- Contract role with a weekly schedule of approximately 32.5–35 hours
- Focused caseload within an elementary setting for meaningful student interaction
