Key Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional in a school environment preferred
• Must provide three professional references, including your most recent supervisor
• One of the following is required:
  • Paraprofessional II certificate
  • Transcripts verifying post-secondary credits equivalent to an Associate’s Degree
  • Completion of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in classroom management and lesson delivery
• Support individual students or small groups with daily assignments and activities
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
• Monitor halls, lunchrooms, and playgrounds to ensure safety and engagement
• Adapt to the needs of students and staff throughout the school day
• Uphold confidentiality and school/district policies at all times

Assignment Details:

• Contract position for the full academic year: September 1, 2026 – June 16, 2027
• Schedule: 32.5 hours per week, 8:05am – 3:05pm, Monday through Friday
• Location: Title 1 elementary school near Portsmouth, NH
