Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic high school environment located near Portsmouth, NH. Four dedicated paraprofessionals are needed to assist within a reputable educational setting for the upcoming academic year, from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027. This position offers a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week, working 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a half-hour lunch break each day.

In this role, you’ll make a tangible difference in students' lives by providing one-on-one assistance as well as classroom support. The focus is on creating an inclusive, supportive atmosphere where every student can flourish. You'll collaborate closely with educators and school staff to implement individualized plans and help facilitate learning and growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a school setting is required
• High school diploma required; no additional para certifications or higher education needed
• Ability to obtain and provide three professional references, including one from your most recent manager, prior to interviewing
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong commitment to supporting student achievement and well-being

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic and behavioral assistance to students in both one-on-one and group/classroom settings
• Support students with diverse learning needs under teacher supervision
• Assist with classroom organization and implementation of lesson plans
• Help maintain a positive and respectful environment
• Foster independence, confidence, and skill-building in students
