Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in schools is preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable—especially when working with medically complex students
• Ability to assist with toileting and personal care needs, including changing garments
• Attentive to details, especially in monitoring students with seizure disorders
• Comfortable collaborating with educational staff and the onsite school nurse

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support for students with medical and academic needs in a classroom setting
• Assist students with daily living activities, including toileting and changing garments as needed
• Monitor and observe students with medical conditions (such as seizure disorders), ensuring immediate response when necessary
• Collect and document data on student health and academic progress, communicating relevant information to the appropriate staff
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages learning and well-being
• Work closely with teachers, the school nurse, and other professionals to support each student’s individualized plan
