Instructional Assistant - Providence, Rhode Island

As a contracted paraprofessional for the upcoming academic year, you will play a vital role helping students succeed and supporting educators in a dynamic and nurturing school environment. Openings are available at multiple grade levels to best match your interests and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work daily with students to provide instructional, behavioral, and classroom support
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities
• Assist with classroom organization and facilitate small group or one-on-one work
• Encourage positive social and academic growth among students
• Support students with diverse learning needs in their educational journey
• Ensure a safe and inclusive atmosphere throughout the school day
• Participate in staff meetings and school events as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies

Ideal Background:

• Holding an RI TA Certification or a CNA credential with prior experience in schools
• Patience, flexibility, and genuine care for children of all ages
• Strong partnership skills and willingness to collaborate with faculty and staff
• Can follow direction while showing initiative and proactivity
• Dependable, punctual, and ready to support daily routines
• Effective communication and organizational skills

Schedule Details:

• High school roles: 5 positions, 8:00am – 2:15pm, M–F
• Middle school roles: 3 positions, 7:05am – 2:00pm, M–F
• Elementary roles: 12 positions, 8:30am – 3:00pm or 9:15am – 3:30pm, M–F
• Contract dates: August 31, 2026 – June 10, 2027
• 32 hours per week for all positions
