Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience working as a paraprofessional, ideally within a school environment
  • Comfortable supporting students with diverse learning needs on a 1:1 basis

  • Compassionate, patient, and skilled in adapting to different communication styles
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of requisite paraprofessional certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, individualized support to an elementary student throughout the school day
  • Assist with academic tasks, classroom participation, and transitions between activities
  • Help implement behavioral interventions and support positive student interactions
  • Maintain detailed, confidential records on progress and challenges
  • Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, specialists, and guardians to align on goals and strategies
