What you’ll need:
- Valid paraprofessional certificate
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
- Ability to follow teacher direction and implement classroom routines
- A commitment to fostering a safe and positive learning environment
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers with instructional activities and individualized student support
- Assist with small group or one-on-one work, adapting assignments as needed
- Help manage classroom behavior, encourage participation, and reinforce learning objectives
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess as needed
- Collaborate with staff to address student needs and support learning plans
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
Details:
- Contract role for the 26/27 school year
- Four positions available
- Elementary school hours: 8:15AM–3:15PM
- Middle/High school hours: 7:15AM–2:15PM
- 35 hours per week
