Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Previous experience supporting students in educational settings preferred
  • Ability to effectively assist high school learners with mild to moderate needs
  • Strong communication, patience, and adaptability
  • Team player, comfortable collaborating with teachers and other educational staff
  • Willingness to work full-time hours throughout the academic year

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to high school students in various settings, including 1:1 instruction, small groups, and general classroom
  • Assist students with classroom tasks, assignments, and participation
  • Help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to implement academic and behavioral strategies
  • Encourage student engagement and independence
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and activities
  • Adhere to school policies and uphold a safe, supportive educational environment
