Step into a rewarding full-time opportunity supporting high school students as a contract paraprofessional and behavior specialist. Four positions are available for dedicated and compassionate professionals to work with a high school caseload, supporting students with mild to moderate needs. You’ll have the chance to make a daily impact through a mix of one-on-one, small group, and classroom-based support.
Desired backgrounds and qualities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience as a paraprofessional or background in educational or behavioral support
- Understanding of strategies to assist students with mild to moderate needs
- Flexibility to work in various settings: 1:1, small groups, and the classroom
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both colleagues and students
- Positive attitude and a commitment to student success
Key responsibilities:
- Assist high school students in reaching academic and behavioral goals as outlined by educators or specialists
- Implement behavioral strategies and provide encouragement in a supportive manner
- Adapt to different learning situations, working both independently with students and in a team-oriented environment
- Offer support to teachers by helping with daily activities, reinforcing lessons, and managing classroom routines
- Track and communicate progress of assigned students in collaboration with the educational team
