Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a behavior support professional in a dynamic educational environment near Putney, VT. With several positions available at elementary, middle, and high school levels, you’ll join a dedicated team focused on revitalizing the behavior program and launching innovative pilot projects for the 26/27 academic year. Reporting to a new district BCBA, this role provides a collaborative atmosphere and the chance to work with a diverse team dedicated to student growth and success.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional, RBT, ABA provider, or in a related behavior support role in school settings
- Understanding of behavior intervention strategies and positive behavioral supports
- Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and clinical supervisors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct behavior support to students individually and in small groups under the supervision of the district BCBA
- Implement intervention plans designed by BCBAs or special education professionals
- Collect and document data on student progress and behaviors
- Contribute to the development of behavior intervention strategies and support the implementation of pilot projects
- Communicate regularly with the supervising BCBA and participate in team meetings
Roles are full-time contract positions, 35-37.5 hours per week, with coverage needed from August 26, 2026 through June 14, 2027. There are multiple openings: three at elementary, two at middle school, and two at high school, providing opportunities to support students across grade levels.
