Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school environment is preferred
• Familiarity working with students with developmental needs and a compassionate, patient approach
• Ability to collaborate well with teachers, support staff, and families
• Strong communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic classroom
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant coursework or paraprofessional certification a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on instructional and behavioral support to students in developmental classrooms
• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assist students with classroom activities, ensuring participation and engagement
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment that encourages student growth and independence
• Support students’ needs with daily routines, mobility, and learning materials
• Help manage classroom organization and contribute to a positive educational atmosphere
