Enhance the educational experience of middle school students as an ASL paraprofessional and sign language interpreter in inclusive classroom environments. This contract opportunity is best suited for individuals with a strong command of American Sign Language and a passion for supporting student learning in a dynamic school setting.

Key Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) through certification or comparable credential
• Experience as a paraprofessional, especially in educational settings, is highly valued
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassion and patience in supporting students’ academic growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class interpretation services for middle school students in general education classes
• Foster understanding and engagement through accurate ASL interpretation
• Collaborate closely with teachers to ensure lesson content is accessible to all students
• Assist with classroom activities as needed, promoting an inclusive learning environment
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all interactions
• Participate in relevant meetings and ongoing professional development

Work Details:

• Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30AM – 2:30PM
• Full-time contract positions
• No behavioral intervention responsibilities—focused on general education classroom settings
