Soliant is seeking experienced Paraprofessionals/Behavior Aides to support K-12 students in Richmond, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are confident working with students who demonstrate significant behavioral needs and are able to provide calm, consistent support in a school setting.
Position Highlights
K-12 opportunities – grade-level preferences considered
35+ hours per week
ASAP start with potential for continued opportunities
1:1 support for students with a range of behavioral needs
Support students with aggression, elopement, and other challenging behaviors
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and assist with behavior data tracking
Use proactive de-escalation, redirection, and behavior-management strategies
May assist with toileting and other student care needs
Must be flexible and willing to support beyond the assigned 1:1 when needed
Summer and next school year opportunities may be available based on performance
Requirements
At least 1 year of school-based behavior experience
Proven experience managing intense behaviors
Ability to remain calm, non-reactive, and professional during challenging situations
Experience with de-escalation, redirection, and behavior intervention
Reliable transportation
Strong reliability and professionalism
Must be able to successfully clear required background checks and fingerprinting
CPI or other crisis/safety training is a plus
RBT experience is welcome, including candidates without an active RBT license
Pay - $22-$25/hour
