Instructional Aide - Ringgold, GA

You’ll work one-on-one with a first-grade student for half the school day, providing both academic and personal assistance in a nurturing atmosphere. A willingness to assist with mild involvement needs, including some toileting, helps ensure your support fosters confidence and independence.

What We’re Looking For:

• GaPSC Paraprofessional Certification required
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working hands-on with children preferred
• Skill in de-escalation and supporting non-verbal communication
• Ability to create a safe, trusting environment
• Compassion, patience, and strong observational skills
• Flexibility in adapting to changing needs and schedules
• Comfortable with a commitment from start date through May 21st, 2027
• Willingness to build rapport and provide personalized attention
• Discretion and respect for student privacy

Role Highlights:

• 1:1 assignment with a first-grade student attending school for half days
• Active involvement: walking with the student, offering encouragement, and assisting as needed
• Support daily functioning, including some toileting and personal care
• Hours will be a minimum of 17.5 weekly and may extend up to 37.5, depending on school needs
