Responsibilities
Support teachers and school staff in daily classroom activities
Assist students academically, socially, and behaviorally
Work with students one-on-one and in small groups
Help implement IEPs and behavior support plans
Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
Assist with transitions, classroom organization, and student engagement
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience working with children preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow teacher direction and adapt to student needs

Maryland State Requirements

Minimum of 48 college credits completed

Associate’s degree or higher

Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment with high school diploma/GED
Preferred Experience
School-based or classroom experience
Special education or ABA experience preferred
Childcare, youth services, or behavioral support background

Compensation - Based on an hourly rate

Benefits - Provided through United Healthcare, 401k

Compensation for this position ranges from $20.37 to $31.37. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
