A reputable educational setting near Rochester, NH is searching for four dedicated paraprofessionals to support mixed 1:1 and classroom roles for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity runs from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:10am to 2:10pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
You’ll play an essential part in creating a supportive learning environment, providing assistance to students and educators, and fostering growth in a collaborative school community.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a school environment is a must
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required; no additional paraprofessional certifications or higher education necessary
- Ability to provide three completed professional references upfront, including your most recent manager
- Strong commitment to supporting students’ learning and social development
- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to collaborate with teachers and other staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 support to students with varying needs as well as assisting within classroom settings
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to implement lesson plans and support daily activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all learners
- Aid in classroom management and help facilitate smooth transitions throughout the school day
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
