Instructional Assistant - Rockton, Illinois

Bring your dedication and enthusiasm to an engaging educational setting supporting young learners in an instructional classroom. We are seeking a dedicated paraprofessional for a contract role working with Kindergarten through 2nd grade students for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This position offers a wonderful opportunity to make a daily impact, helping young children achieve their educational goals.

As part of the K-2 Instructional Program, you’ll support students and collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to ensure a positive and productive classroom experience. The working hours are 7:50 AM to 3:10 PM, providing a consistent and predictable daily schedule.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role is highly valued
• Enthusiasm for working with early elementary (K-2) students
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to follow directions and assist in implementing instructional strategies
• Flexibility and patience while supporting young learners
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Support students with instructional activities and encourage participation
• Help maintain a positive, organized, and inclusive classroom environment
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students as needed
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers
• Support students with social, emotional, and academic needs
