We're seeking an enthusiastic Paraprofessional to work in a K-2 Instructional Program classroom for the 26/27 school year, supporting dedicated educators and helping elementary students reach their full potential. This contract position offers regular weekday hours of 7:50 AM to 3:10 PM.
What you'll bring:
- Experience or strong interest working with elementary-aged children
- Familiarity with the paraprofessional role in a school setting
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Effective communication abilities with students and staff
- Eagerness to collaborate with teachers and follow classroom procedures
- Ability to implement student accommodations and modifications as directed
In this role, you will:
- Assist the lead teacher in daily instruction and classroom management for K-2 students
- Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally according to their individual needs and IEP accommodations
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Help prepare and organize classroom materials and activities
- Supervise students during transitions, lunchtime, and recess
- Foster positive peer interactions and provide encouragement throughout the school day
