Teacher's Aide - Rockton, Illinois

Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting young learners as a contract Paraprofessional for the upcoming 26/27 school year. In this essential role, your contributions will help shape the experiences of students in the K-2 Instructional Program classroom. With a daily schedule from 7:50 am to 3:10 pm, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside dedicated educators and make a meaningful difference.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or working with school-aged children, preferably in a classroom setting
• Familiarity with instructional support for K-2 students
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or related field preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in delivering instructional activities to students in the K-2 classroom
• Provide one-on-one or small group support according to student needs and classroom plans
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Support classroom routines and help manage student behavior respectfully and effectively
• Collaborate closely with the instructional team to implement individual learning strategies
• Help prepare classroom materials and ensure resources are organized for daily activities
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess as needed
