ASL Paraprofessional 20262027 School Year

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Paraprofessional to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students during the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will facilitate communication, promote student independence, and assist in creating an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ASL interpretation for students in classroom and school settings
• Support students’ academic and social development
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and interpreters
• Assist with classroom management and instructional activities
• Adapt materials as needed to meet student needs
• Maintain confidentiality and follow IEP accommodations

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language 
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or higher preferred)
• Previous experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Certifications:

• Candidates with an active Missouri DESE Paraprofessional or Substitute Certificate are preferred
