Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide, especially within elementary education
• Ability to build rapport and maintain patience with young children
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teachers and staff
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school protocols
• Flexibility and reliability to meet the student's daily schedule

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 instructional and behavioral support to a 2nd grade student throughout the school day
• Assist the student with classroom assignments, activities, and transitions
• Support the development of social skills and encourage positive peer interactions
• Implement strategies as directed by teachers and specialists to meet the student’s educational goals
• Maintain accurate records of daily observations and report progress to supervising staff
• Adapt to schedule changes on Wednesdays for an earlier start and end time, ensuring a full 4-hour shift
