Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a classroom Paraeducator within a Resource Specialized Program. This full-time, contract role offers the unique opportunity to work with both pre-kindergarten and elementary aged students, providing essential academic and behavioral support as part of a collaborative team. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through early June 2027, you'll be based at a welcoming campus in Sacramento, assisting with both general classroom activities and program-specific pull-out services.
Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional, particularly within elementary settings or working with young children, is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting students in a special education or resource program environment is desirable
- Reliable, flexible, and eager to collaborate with teachers and staff
- Demonstrates patience, compassion, and a student-centered approach to education
- Able to assist with classroom management, small group instruction, and reinforcement of individualized education plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher by implementing lesson plans and classroom routines
- Provide instructional, behavioral, and logistical support to students within the Resource Specialized Program
- Assist with classroom management, student engagement, and activities as assigned
- Help facilitate small group instruction and individual pull-outs
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Track student progress and provide feedback to the instructional team as needed
