Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional, particularly in school settings
- Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior support
- Ability to build rapport and maintain a supportive, encouraging classroom environment
- Skill in collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student growth
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma required; additional training in behavioral health or education a plus
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability
Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one with a student requiring behavioral support
- Implement individualized behavioral plans in coordination with educational teams
- Track and document student progress, behavior incidents, and program effectiveness
- Provide assistance during classroom routines and transitions
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment that meets each student’s needs
- Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and parents about progress and any concerns
- Support classroom management and encourage social-emotional development
