Make a meaningful impact by supporting the growth and development of a 2nd grade student as a 1:1 instructional aide. This rewarding, part-time contract role offers the chance to work closely with a young learner, providing personalized assistance and encouragement to help them thrive in their educational environment.

As a 1:1 instructional aide, you will work four hours a day—Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 11:45 AM to 3:45 PM. Wednesdays feature an adjusted schedule with an earlier start and finish, still encompassing a four-hour shift at the end of their school day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide in a school setting is highly valued
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed
  • Ability to establish effective rapport with students, teachers, and staff
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Dependable attendance and a positive, encouraging demeanor
  • Willingness to adapt to the individualized needs of the student

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support and guidance to a 2nd grade student throughout the school day
  • Assist the student with classwork, social interaction, and transitions between activities
  • Work closely with teaching staff and special education services to implement personalized learning plans
  • Encourage positive behavior and participation through consistent reinforcement and a supportive approach
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming environment within the classroom and on campus
  • Monitor the student’s progress and communicate observations with the school team
