Instructional Assistant - Saint Charles, Missouri

Embark on a rewarding role supporting students and teachers in a special education classroom! We're seeking three enthusiastic individuals to serve as Paraprofessionals for the full 2026-27 school year. Enjoy a consistent schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (with a 30-minute lunch), totaling 28 paid hours weekly. Your placement on caseloads will be determined prior to start, ensuring the best fit for your skills and interests. The school year runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027 (subject to adjustment for snow days).

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar classroom support role preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children in both group settings and one-on-one situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to adapt to the diverse needs of students and follow direction from teaching and support staff
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers and related service professionals (OT, PT, SLP, BCBA, SW) in delivering instruction and support
• Supervise and interact with students across a variety of instructional settings
• Provide hands-on support with adaptations and modifications as directed
• Prepare classroom materials to facilitate future instruction
• Promote student engagement and positive behavior
