What you bring:

  • At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional within a school environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One of the following qualifications:
    • Completed at least two years of college credits (typically 60 semester credits) from an accredited institution
    • An associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university
    • Passing scores on an approved assessment (ParaPro Assessment with a minimum of 455, or ParaEducator assessments with at least 65% on Instructional Support and 70% on Knowledge and Application)
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students
  • A patient, adaptable approach and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students succeed

In this role, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students
  • Assist teachers with classroom instruction, activities, and classroom management
  • Support students with a range of academic, social, and behavioral needs in both resource and center-based programs
  • Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and other learning strategies
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
